The cleanest record on this site. We found no CCPA penalty and no CCPA notice against ForumIAS. It publishes a results page naming each successful candidate with their rank, year and the specific course they took — the disclosure format the regulator has fined other institutes for omitting. Its refund policy is restrictive, which is what costs it points.

Section 01

The arithmetic

Every criterion starts at 100. Below is each point deducted, the published rule that triggered it, and the document it came from. Nothing here is a judgement call.

Regulatory Standing

100/100

Orders, penalties and findings recorded against the institute by a regulator.

Advertising Integrity

Not assessed

Whether a regulator has found the institute's advertising to be misleading.

No public record on file touches this criterion, so we do not score it. This is deliberately not the same as a pass.

Disclosure

100/100

Whether the institute discloses what its advertised successful candidates actually paid for.

Refund Policy

40/100

How the institute's own published refund policy compares to the national standard.

Service Delivery

Not assessed

Documented failures to deliver the teaching students actually paid for.

No public record on file touches this criterion, so we do not score it. This is deliberately not the same as a pass.

Grievance Redressal

Not assessed

Documented conduct when enrolled students raise complaints or ask for refunds.

No public record on file touches this criterion, so we do not score it. This is deliberately not the same as a pass.

Overall score is the mean of the 3 assessed criteria, rounded. Read the full methodology →

Section 02

The public record

Each document below is linked to its source. This is the entire evidentiary basis for the grade above — there is nothing else behind it.

  1. 01Regulatory orderChecked 28 July 2026

No CCPA penalty and no CCPA notice found

We searched CCPA and PIB announcements and the press reporting on coaching-sector enforcement from 2023 to 2026 and found no penalty against ForumIAS, and no notice either. It does not appear in the lists of institutes issued notices in October 2023 or in any subsequent penalty round. Absence of a record is not proof of good conduct, but it is what the record shows.

Publishes each advertised candidate's rank, year and the course they actually took

ForumIAS maintains a public results page that names successful candidates alongside their rank, the year, and the specific programme each of them enrolled in. This is precisely the disclosure whose absence CCPA has repeatedly penalised other institutes for — where a student can see that an advertised topper took a free interview programme rather than the expensive foundation course, the claim stops being misleading.

Lost Current Affairs faculty mid-course — disclosed it and offered an unconditional full refund

ForumIAS disclosed to its Current Affairs 2025 batch that it had lost the faculty for that course mid-way, and offered every affected student an unconditional 100% refund. We record this because it is a documented mid-course service failure. We apply no deduction for it: the institute disclosed the failure itself and made students whole, which is the behaviour the national refund standard is trying to produce.

Published policy: courses non-refundable except on proven deficiency of service

The published refund policy states that courses are non-refundable and non-transferable, with a refund considered only where the student proves a deficiency of service. Placing the burden of proof on the student falls short of the Ministry of Education's January 2024 standard, which requires a pro-rata refund within 10 days on mid-course exit regardless of fault.

        Section 03

Their policy vs the national standard

        What ForumIAS publishes

        Courses are non-refundable and non-transferable.

The published refund policy makes courses non-refundable and non-transferable, with refunds considered only on proven deficiency of service, and places disputes under Delhi jurisdiction.

        What the national standard says

Where a student has paid the fee in full and leaves the course in the middle of the prescribed period, the fee for the remaining period is to be refunded on a pro-rata basis within 10 days — including hostel and mess fees, where those were paid.

These are national guidelines that states are asked to adopt; they are not by themselves a penal statute. The enforceable route for an individual student is the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 — deficiency in service and unfair trade practice — through the National Consumer Helpline and the Consumer Commissions.

        Section 04

        What students say

Separate from the evidence above, and separate from the grade. This is where students who actually studied at ForumIAS describe what they got for their money.

Reviews are the opinions of individual students, published after a moderator checks them. They are not findings of this site or of any regulator, and they have no effect whatsoever on ForumIAS's grade — that comes only from the documents above.

Reviews are unavailable right now. The grade above is unaffected.

        Student reports

        Report count unavailable

We could not read the report count just now, so we are not showing a number rather than showing one we have not verified. The grade above is unaffected — it comes entirely from the documents on this page.
